HISTORY IS NOT ONLY THE MEMORY OF WHAT HAPPENED.
IT IS AN EXACT SCIENCE BASED ON MATHEMATICS AND LOGIC.

THE PAST AND THE FUTURE ARE TWO STATES THAT LIVE.
THE PRESENT IS ONLY THE BLINK OF AN EYE.

TO UNDERSTAND THE PRESENT, YOU NEED TO KNOW HISTORY.
BY KNOWING HISTORY AND UNDERSTANDING THE PRESENT, WE CAN SEE THE FUTURE.

HChT THEORY

HISTORICAL CHRONOLOGICAL TABLES

  • Historical Chronological Tables (HChT) describe family histories based on written records and those preserved in memory.
  • Building HChT is their graphical record.
  • Unlike family trees, which are arranged by generations, HChT describes family relationships in a chronological order.

IDEAS DIAGRAM

  • The background of the Table is a time-scaled matrix covering the subject matter of the study.
  • All dates are placed according to the matrix scale.
  • The basic line is the line of life, it begins under the year of birth. For those who have passed away, it ends in the year of death.
  • There is a point on the parent’s life line that marks the year the child was born. A horizontal line begins at this point – called the offspring line, which leads to the child’s year of birth. On the other side there is a line from the other parent.
  • Generational lines run from the images of parents to the images of children.

One of the features of HChT is the uniqueness of the people included in the study.

Below is the history of the ancestors of Frederick of Baden – the father of Victoria – Queen of Sweden, wife of Gustav V. The first Table presents the history using a family tree in a generational arrangement, and the second one is written using the principles of HTCh. Both stories contain the same facts. They differ in the number of characters. There are 31 people in the first system, and 24 in the second one. In generational systems, the mother’s family and the father’s family are listed separately. Due to this, some ancestors may be repeated in different branches and at different generational levels. In HTCh, each person in the story appears only once.

People who appear twice in the generation system are highlighted with a gray background.
